I am not an Aurelian or Kinross holder but have been involved in other activist efforts.

I would suggest that you need to find a way of constructively focusing your passion. It's not enough to complain or hope the OSC or SEC will help. It has to be you, the shareholders, to take action. If it has to be, it must be me.

Re: National Post: Aurelian draws online storm

If you want to go to war, you need some powerful allies. The OSC and SEc are powerful but slow. Who are the largest institutional holders in Aurelian who are likely just as upset as you? Have you chatted with them? What would you ask them to do? Let me know and I will be happy to help too

Re: National Post: Aurelian draws online storm

I agree with your points. However, don't limit yourself to telling the story to only small investors. You need to get larger shareholders (in ARU) on your side.

Who has spoken to Keith Barron, Haute-Nedaz of Switzerland who owned 10.3% as of last May, or Goodman & Co Investment Counsel in Toronto who owned 10.6% and just bought more recently?

Re: National Post: Aurelian draws online storm

You need to get Barron and Goodman on your side.

I would also suggest you formally organize your group of small shareholders. Look at www.youchoose.net/yahoo for how I did this with YHOO. Once someone starts a group, enourage other ARU holders to "pledge" their shares to your group. That way, you will know how many people support you and with how many shares. That will give you more credibility when speaking to the media.

Also, consider creating a "Plan B" plan for ARU - ie exactly what you would do if you were CEO today. Then put the "Plan B" in a wiki. See http://shareowneractivism.w... to see what I did.

Re: National Post: Aurelian draws online storm

Good luck. Every journey starts with a single step. You can do this. Just persist, put forward credible arguments (as opposed to complaining or being seen as unprofessional) and you will succeed.

Re: National Post: Aurelian draws online storm

Big funds are composed of individuals. I would suggest you find the specific fund manager with ARU in his/her portfolio who would like to see a higher price. Alternatively, find the junior analyst who did the legwork analysis on ARU and still cares passionately about the return for the fund. Then, make your case as a fellow shareholder.

Re: National Post: Aurelian draws online storm

Go get 'em.
