My goal was to pick extraordinary speakers.
I look up to all of the speakers, and I am confident that they will be able
to influence everyone in the audience. To answer your question about the
format, I am still experimenting with conference formats. At the last
NextGen Conference, there were two panels, a business plan competition, and
a few keynotes. This year's NextGen Conference consists of four keynotes,
one panel, and an Ignite Session. I'll ask for audience feedback after this
conference to make the next NextGen Conference even better! Hope my
response answered your questions. See you on Wednesday!

Re: Taking on Too Many Projects as a Teen Entrepreneur

Spencer - I recently arrived back in the sates from a month long trip. So, I just now read this post.

"It’s better to do a few projects really well than to be involved with everything but do nothing really well." - this says it all. I find it difficult to say "no" sometimes, but it is so important.

I recently had a fellow teen entrepreneur join one of my projects. This teen had too much on his plate and was aware that he had too much on his plate. Nevertheless, this teen said "yes" to my project when he should have said "thanks for the offer, but no thanks". In retrospect, I should have asked this teen to simply advise me instead of join me.

Lastly, I would be happy to advise you (and other teen entrepreneurs) on any of your projects.

-Cory

Re: College Decision

:) I am looking forward to my next four years! Instead, when you could pick up any slate in the house, select your icon and be where you left off. Ideally, there would also be an obvious guest mode. So you can leave the slate around the house the same way you might leave books or magazines." Hopefully the next version will have this.

Re: Interview with VaynerMedia Co-Founder, AJ Vaynerchuk

Thanks, Sam!!

People should attach a "Failure Resume" to their standard resume. I am always on Facebook (but that's the norm in high school ;-) ).

I gave up on my Google Reader about a year ago. It was simply too many feeds and impossible to manage.

I would love for you to share my new blog post, and I am curious to hear your thoughts and comments: www.corylevy.com . It's a guest post tilted "So, you think you should go to engineering school?" written by a University of Illinois student. I know you studied business at the U of I and at Emory (two schools that I am seriously considering). This is why I am especially looking forward to hearing about your experiences. Thanks!

Re: So, you think I should go to engineering school?

That is a great quote! My academic study all really depends on what school I attend. Over the years, I have learned that It is easier to teach an engineer the fundamentals of business through experience and practice than to teach the nuts and bolts of engineering to a businessman.

Re: MVP (minimum viable product) and Lean Startup concepts applied to traditional business

Be happy that you didn't waste more more than 1.5 years...you are lucky to have realized this relatively early and begin DOING!
