I used to get a ton more customization with Messages+. There's hardly any with Google Messages and that's the best that's out there with no more Messages+ and that's not saying a whole hell of a lot, they all stink.
PS: RCS doesn't do squat for me. I see no difference between stuff from Messages+ and Google Messages.

I always go out of my way to check out different apps when I upgrade my phone, and like I said in my post above, nothing can hold a candle to Verizon Messages when it comes/came to customization.

I've used Verizon Messages since it first became available because, quite frankly no other messaging app can hold a stick to the amount of customization you could do with Verizon.

Heck Google is the best replacement I can find (which isn't saying much) and it won't even let me change my contacts avatars especially since some they ported over I have no idea where Google got the pics from.

I also had to go and manually reset my different notification sounds that I used for different contacts and couldn't even turn off vibrations for the whole app! Had to go and turn of vibrations for. EACH. DIFFERENT. CONTACT. MANUALLY!! What in the actual hell?!?

Can't customize colors to the extreme you could in Verizon, nor change the shape of the text balloons.

I don't give a flying f...ish about RCS (or whatever the hell it is), I want my damn customizations back!!

Aw man. This is butt. With all the eight thousand things we need to hook up to all our electronics, Chromecast was always far and away the best!

Tiny and hidden taking up no space.

I guarantee that all the bells and whistles that Google will hype are most likely already available in 99% of smart TVs right now - and not even top of the line systems. My Samsung 55" smart TV - (DISCLAIMER: Samsung and Google fan Boi!) - when we purchased it was one to almost two generations behind top of the line that we paid $700 for from BJs about 6+years ago.

Even then it could and can do pretty much everything Chromecast, streaming apps, and pretty much whatever else you want it to.

Unless it's remarkably low - priced I'll definitely be sticking with the Chromecast dongle for as long as they allow me to. I don't need another settop box cluttering up my TV 'stand'. After all these years I now only have the TV and soundbar(obviously Samsung again 😁) showing on my 'stand', everything else I get through various apps and streamers through my TV.

I never thought Apple was ever worth those silly high prices/boutique status because of their proprietary BS. I consider something like Android as way better because many different companies/brands/Devs can add so much more to the Android universe! I consider it quantity AND quality over BS proprietary systems, but that's just my opinion.

But because of all that I don't think it's worth $700. Let the Apple fanbois get their jollies getting ripped off, I never felt ripped off by anything from Samsung until this silly price point on their watch.

Forget fines which his brain dead cult followers will end up paying anyway.

Forget probation because of who he is, I guarantee he will get the benefit of the doubt almost every time.

Even forget jail for now because even if the judge goes over recommended punishment levels Trump would never see the inside of a jail because the good money is on him croaking or doing a runner before he has to turn himself in, or being able to stay out of jail until all his appeals play out which will take years in New York.

If you really want to grab the traitor by the balls give him hundredS of hours of community service! He hates having to do what people tell him, or working with the poors, or doing even some physical labor! He would stroke out having to keep his mouth shut, taking orders, and especially working for free/when nothing's in it for him.

The 'boss' 😁 and I have been with Verizon since 1998.

Whenever we've had the very rare problem they've bent over backwards to fix it.

We receive deals from them occasionally that aren't available to the general public because of being with them for so long. The biggest of these is we never have to pay BS activation charges without even asking since the customer service rep working with us sees how long we've been members.

We've gotten free peripherals, free months, etc.

And the biggest thing is that we've never had a problem with coverage from them. I can't see us ever switching.

To actually be able to sleep in the same bed and room as my wife.

I'm a REALLY BAD sleeper thanks to arthritis all over my body so it's more comfortable, relatively speaking, to sleep on a couch or a recliner.

And since I am constantly waking up and tossing and turning because of said pain, my wife would never be able to get a good night's sleep. So, I sleep in the living room on the couch or in a recliner.

Luckily it has never affected our love or sex life thank goodness - married 25 years a month ago. But with all the mattress advances I wouldn't mind trying a bed again, but don't chance it because those prices are literally thousands of dollars nowadays! The end😁.
