This question may be better posed to students in healthcare and academic fields. Contact / Comment</title><link>http://healthblog.xprize.org/2009/04/9-contact-comment.html#comment-8288750</link><description>&lt;p&gt;The metrics of XPrize's Project poses a challenge in my mind in how we evaluate e.g., behavioral health interventions.  A few years ago after experiencing the loss of several colleagues to suicide and observing family dissolutions and other problematic behavioral issues, I went to work at a private psychiatric facility.  There I learned practical skills of communications.  Even with a healthcare background, I was changed by what I learned, and in turn it's had an impact on my communications with my family and friends.  I have seen the positive effects of the individual's influencing thru proactive caring.  So how might X Prize measure the outcome of community behavioral health training?  We need to be communities skilled in effective caring for others.
