Sometimes I think it just takes time and patience to discover the truth and the reason why. I think it all is happening to call us towards our highest good, our truest selves.

Re: Positivity; How Do You Keep It Alive?

I love reading success stories and similarly inspired movies. As long as you are happy (and safe) in the doing of it, it's always worth it. I am sending in my proposal for The Acceptance Diet as we speak, which is a book about a "She" and her journey in giving up dieting, accepting herself and her relationship to food, and finding a joyful way to lose weight. It is a multi-chapter book in a rhyming poem format, with lighthearted black and white illustrations (think Shel Silverstein). Intended to be both playful and profound. A simple book that I am going to change the world with.

Like Danielle, that is one book of many that live within me. My next couple will be on being who you really are and what do do when real life comes knocking.

Re: What will you create in 2009?

A book (published). Submit your work and get published. Be brave enough to be who you are and let your light shine. Do what you love and focus on what you love. And I agree with Danielle: your feelings are everything. An amazing invention. Also just my huge collection of books. It is such a great memory that my mom used to take me to the bookstore and allow me to buy as many books as I wanted. I would love to shed a little light. My perspective is the one written in the article. The links are different perspectives on the same subject, though not my opinions or perspective. I apologize for what appears to be mixed messages. There are so many opinions on the subject which is one of the reasons I think it can get so confusing.

I always use the barometer of my feelings to see if something is useful to me. If it feels good, then it's a match. If I start becoming confused, overwhelmed, or some other negative emotion it is a signal that whatever I am reading or experiencing is not a match for me.

My message remains the same even if the links in my column take you to different views. If your main focus is around a meaningful and engaged life then you get to actually enjoy your life AND your weight has a way of taking care of itself. :)

Re: Start Living Again: Weighing In - Part Two

It is so exciting to realize life is for the living, and not for the managing of every bite of food or pound.
