I was recently laid off but don't have the hours to collect EI, so my spouse is the only one bringing in an income.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;There is light at the end of the tunnel, though. You can't fight Hydro (not alone, anyway), but there are programs to help you out.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;In the Toronto area (there is a list of other communities that qualify for this), there is the Emergency Energy Fund that can help, but if you're like me and in a small northern community, go to Ontario Works (welfare)- they will assess the situation and pay the bill for you (you don't have to be receiving OW to qualify).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">colleen_l</dc:creator><pubDate>Fri, 21 Aug 2009 13:41:18 -0000</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
