Gold that you can hold(physical variety) yes, all other forms like shares and derivatives are potentially worthless.

Note; make sure that your gold is well hidden from thieves.....and the government(as if there is much of a difference)

You guessed it, the foreign office....paid for by, again you guessed it, the honest tax payer or the small businessman who has no choice but to pay their taxes, in full and on time.
