I think there needs to be an understanding of the cultural difference of the audience and what the content is made for. First and foremost, anime is made for Japan and the intention of an international market is minimal. Most shows are made for the aging male otaku demographic in Japan. Based on the moderate success of the original content i.e. manga, is the reason why the shows get made in the first place. So if the aging male who usually enjoys this type of genre likes it, then it'll get made.
Most of the examples that you brought up are one way or the other all adaptations of an existing property. So there was a basis somewhere telling Dentsu, ASCII or Shogakan that these titles were successful and thus can be capitalized for a show.
It's really hard for Japan to make original content that has a high level of concept because its such a dangerous gamble for the companies.
Hopefully with scenario writers like Gen Urobuchi coming into the limelight, we'll start to see more original content but I don't expect the ecchi and moe to subside at all.
