Honestly, you're helping just by supporting. Most peeps just make fun or taunt when they find out I'm trying to eat healthier.
It's just that while, yes, I've always eaten moderately healthy, I've never been able to stick to fully changing my eating habits. And I think it's about time that that happens.

yeah, I'm really torn about it.
On one hand, Plushenko came out of retirement just for these games and to see if he could get a gold a second time. And he's fantastic! I don't think I took a breath his entire performance.
But Lysacek is equally wonderful, but in a different way. He's so passionate and yeah, intense and powerful. He puts a lot of emotion into each performance and it comes through. And he's brilliant technically as well. AND he's fucking great looking. And not gay (which also most skaters are--but, I mean, Plushenko isn't gay either).
Anyway, Plushenko already has a gold, maybe he should let someone else have this one.
Either way, I think it's going to be really close and really exciting to watch. I think I'd be happiest if Lysacek won. I'd probably call my mom and we could cry tears of joy over how "our baby is all grown up!"

I'm going to leave a comment here for that reblog that you did, b/c the other comment links I clicked weren't working correctly. But yeah, I totally know what your talking about with the whole stop-talking-to-me thing. The first time me and this guy saw each other after we broke up he wouldn't stop talking to me the entire night and it wasn't really a shut-the-fuck-up-and-stop-talking-to-me thing, but more of a WHY? kind of thing. I mean, it was cool that he didn't want to play the ignoring game all night, but I think I was just surprised. Usually, whenever I see an ex it's totally fine. I've never had a negative run-in with an ex. We're usually really friendly. The only thing that made me feel weird about this occasion was that he was on a date. Being particularly friendly didn't seem quite appropriate.
And those kinds were fucking punks! I'm pretty sure they're the same ones we got complaints about running around and making a lot of noise in the auditorium of New Moon. Punks went to see New Moon. Who's bad ass now, bitches?

yeah, Jim Shepard came to Webster today to give a reading and I went. I had never read anything by him, but the part of the short story that he read was really fucking entertaining and pretty cool. And then there was Q & A and he said this somewhere in that time. I've been walking around with it in my head since then, processing it. I really like that idea of the novel as an invasion, I can feel that.

wow, I think you just earned 10,000 coolness points! I was never into translating elvish, but I was very much into the Lord of the Rings as well. I haven't read the books, though I do have some beautiful, old copies of them and I'd really like to read them sometime. For some reason I tried to start reading the books by starting with The Two Towers which didn't work out--it got tedious when Tolkien went on about ents for 40 pages and I was in middle school at the time and had zero patience for that. I have read the hobbit, though, and I loved that! And I just heard that Peter Jackson is making two movies for that book so I'm pretty pumped. I take it you've read all the books?
