Should they be in a suit? No. But try not to look like its a Saturday and you were surprised you were called in. Agency B needs to weigh a few things. 1) Will going around Agency A put a damper on any future projects together (i.e. feed yourself today, by eating tomorrow's food)? 2) Will going direct to to Client A create an untenable working relationship with Agency A (limited access to creative strategy making it difficult to tie two campaigns together)? 3) In your agreement with Agency A, did you sign or agree to a non-compete, preventing you from doing what you want? 4) Can your goals be met simply by approaching Agency A leadership and restructuring the deal so that your team is 100% represented at all levels of account work, thereby avoiding the mishandling the client issue?

Agencies are overly protective and shortsighted by nature, they feel the wolves at the door at all times ready to take their prime kills. While I understand where Agency A is coming from, I think Agency B has several options to move forward in a way that will satisfy everyone.

Re: Effective or Offensive: WWF Uses 9/11 to Illogical Point - mediabistro.com: AgencySpy

This campaign is highly offensive. It just comes with the territory; you need to believe in yourself and your skills first, or you will never do even adequate work for your clients. Do most people with big egos stay in advertising? I don't have a solid answer for that, but my guess is that a decent percentage explore their other options and come back to the ad world (probably a little humbled, but no one will be able to tell).

Re: Oink!
