I’ve been at this for a while (genetic genealogy), and use them often. I just started a new blog focused on Irish DNA (will be posting tips, case studies from my research, etc.), and linked to your post here as an explainer for “quick and dirty trees!” https://irishdna.net/2019/0.... Wanted to let you know. Keep up the good work.

Re: Christian (Petri) Petre family

Hi Karen, I hope this message finds you OK. Christian Petri of Buffalo, NY and later NYC was born in Breitfurt, Saarland, Bavaria, Germany in Dec. 1850 to Philipp Petri and Elisabeth Gentes. I am a Buffalo native with Petri cousins in that same part of Europe and the United States. You'll see that on the 1900 census, Christian says he was born in Dec. 1850, matching Christian Petri born in Breitfurt in Dec. 1850. It is not a common name. Cheers!

Re: Peace Bridge to light up in honor of Bisons' opener, now just a week away

Awesome.

Re: Job with Sabres allows social media guru Kanalley to return home

Thank you!

Re: 10 Things I Miss About Ireland

Yes, indeed, loved it. Then I can go back and re-read closer. BTW it is a Catholic Bible, mention that in the intro, and reading on an iPad.

Re: Dude reading entire Bible in 100 days, tumblogging neat stuff he finds

They're parts that most speak to me.. that I personally find most interesting, @spejic - and I state this in the intro. That's all. They may not speak to you but I find them all very interesting, and each day after reading 1% of The Bible I make (the sometimes difficult) choice of which verse to highlight in the blog (though I highlight many, many verses in my iPad).

Re: Dude reading entire Bible in 100 days, tumblogging neat stuff he finds

I do not intend to kill anyone.

Re: New HuffPost social media editor: ‘I’ll always be learning in this job’

And she's right.

Re: Why Storify For iPad Is Underhyped

It is as simple as can be, so yes, less clunky, though I don't think the Web version is particularly clunky either?

I think it can reduce filter failure. You can search for nearby images for instance or tweets for really specific terms or for certain users. I think in the future it will only get better.

Re: Why Storify For iPad Is Underhyped

thanks, Paul!!

Re: http://ckanal.tumblr.com/post/17963757147

Ha, that is an interesting point! Quotes can be great too. Though at the same time, I like Sree's advice to at least include a hashtag or @ mention if you can.

Re: 10 Tips For Making The Most Of Twitter

Thanks, Kevin!
