It is wonderful the type of support this coach has and the impact she has had on the kids she has coached and their families. Many of the comments appear to be about knowing her for years which certainly speaks to her character but few of the comments appear to be about the issue at hand. This coach may be a really great lady who maybe made some mistakes. She is surrounded by many people who care about her and would certainly be understanding of any intentional or unintentional slip up. It is difficult to be strong enough to admit errors in judgement that many have happened. Since the coach is not talking about the issues or making a statement of any kind, it points to her rather than any silly complaint anyone else may have made. You want to blame everyone and anyone other than your beloved coach. Public entities do not fire people based on a few complaints, a dismal occurs when something or someone is jeopardized or rules are continually not followed. One of you stated you know why the coach was dismissed, how....how do you know? Were you present at her dismissal, did you read what her superiors wrote, did you see what the issues were? If so, why don't you share the real reason. You are responding with such vengance it is no wonder people do not want to give you thier name. The banter needs to stop and the facts about her dismissal need to be addressed. No matter what the reasons were, it is too bad the coach was not given time to understand the faults, address the problems, and move the cheer program forward in a positive direction adhearing to the policies of the school and the district. Cheering for the kids at school at events is wonderful and I saw the cheerleaders in the paper winning at a competition. It is clear many of you go to her gym, that is great but not at all relevant to the issue at hand. People all of you need to realize that it is about the kids and coaches make mistakes just like everyone else. People just need to own up to those mistakes and then move forward rather than rallying the troops, throwing nasty accusations about, and getting the kids caught in the crossfire. Best wishes that everything works out positively for all.</p>
