Hey Mary! What part of my earlier comments made you pull my post? Was it the part about you "maybe wanting a little conrad", was it the part where I questioned your pro city agenda, or was it the part where I defend Mr. Appleman's mailings? I'm just curious how you decide which comments get censored and which you allow to post? What exactly is the criteria for free speech in your world? I read the above rules and it states that comments must be: Civil, Smart, On-topic and Free of Profanity . Oh and I did have my mother proof the original post, per your suggestion. She thought it was hilarious and spot on!

Please clarify your rules for commenting so we can all embrace the world according to Mary Grady.

I wonder why no one has questioned why this employee whose "expertise will be missed" - quote from crooked conrad, left the city early this year? Was he also part of the targeted employees who were forced out? It would be interesting to hear his side of what happened in the city last year since crooked conrad speaks so highly of him.

Ira... I don't know you but I love you. Why would the MI Reporter even feel the need to try and discredit an awesome advocate for the people? It sounds to me like Ira is doing more for the residents of MI than the current city government. I for one, appreciate the information and the fact that he is willing to show up at the meetings and discuss/debate the issues that we don't have time to do. Keep up the good work Ira.

Oh SNAP! Now you are accusing Lindell of "a personal agenda or revenge"? Wow. Please lady, it's time for you to step aside and let some real reporting happen at the MI Reporter. Ira Appleman and Londi Lindell have teamed up to take down the city. LOOK out everyone... they're coming for you. Talk about a huge reach. I'm pretty sure you are supposed to have some sort of vetting process to check your data before you spew it into a media we all have access to. After reading over your last three previous articles defending the actions of the city management and council, one would have to ask... What is your agenda?

Thank you Clint! It's time for the citizens of MI to stand up and not allow this type of obvious misuse of power by the current council and city management. It would also be nice to see some fair and balanced reporting by the Mercer Island Reporter. I'm pretty sure Ira Appleman sent out a few of his informative packets. How hard would it be for the MI Reporter to get ahold of one of these? People are talking about it, sounds like news to me. I would also like to see a report of the earlier allegation of sexual harrassment involving our fair city manager (2002 or 2003?). The last article published made it look like Lindell and Sterbank were guilty of something instead of what appears to be abuse of power and an obvious pattern of behavior by some "good old boys". Think maybe the Reporter could actually find a reporter that is capabale of doing a little reporting? I think they call it "investigative reporting".

Looks like its time for Conrad and his group of old cronies to step down and let the light in to MI. No more of the old politics as usual. Isn't it amazing they paid off Sterbank but are now slandering Lindell to get her to go away? Please. They would have been much smarter to keep it quiet like the Sterbank deal.
