Great article Steve! It's so true that some of our greatest gifts have been with us since childhood. As a child, I always had a fascination with language. I was reading from a newspaper by age 3 (or so my mom tells me), was pretty fluent in 2 foreign languages by age 10, and was never without a book.

I ended up spending my Corporate Career in Strategic Communications and now help entrepreneurs with their messaging. Fancy that!

Thanks for sharing this Erika and I'm so sorry to hear about the health challenges and pregnancy. I totally understand how hard it is to peel back the curtain and reveal our vulnerabilities. I remember the first time I did it. It was on one of my free Community Coaching Calls and there were more than 100 people listening. I shared some of the struggles I had gone through and what I learned from them. But it wasn't just business stuff. I got very personal and felt myself tearing up. The wonderful thing is that I had so many people reach out to me to thank me for sharing my story. There was something in my story that connected with them emotionally and in some ways, inspired them. And really, that's what makes it all worthwhile. Sending you hugs. Cindy

So much wisdom here. I'm a mom of 2 boys and know how easy it is to focus on them and not take enough time to take care of myself. My son told me last night to just relax and take some time for myself. That sweet little boy is so insightful!

What a great post Marnie. I love the analogy of walking across the bridge while you're building it. I remember when I made the shift from leading with my head to leading with my head and heart. I let myself become more vulnerable in doing so but am so grateful for taking the risk and the warm response I got from the people in my community. Thanks for encouraging us all to step up, share our voice and lead!

I love this Donna - thank you! Social media is becoming so visual and having a cool picture really draws people's attention. If you're taking requests, I would love to know what tools to use to create a good graphic for Facebook Page apps. I used Powerpoint and saved it as a jpg but I'm sure it could be better. Thanks!

What a great post. Allow me to add another mistake I have made, which is using the wrong keywords. I've learned that its important to look at both the traffic and the competition.

For instance, "attraction marketing" has over 460,000 competing webpages, but only 325 people are searching for that term daily.

Sometimes adding keyword modifiers (e.g. "attraction marketing tips" or "best attraction marketing") is a good approach, but not always. You sometimes need to drill down and look for a niche (with keywork phrase) that is less competitive, and for which an adequate number of people are searching.
