I was just browsing MakingCosmetics' preserivatives section and found this. I'm dying to know what you think/can find out about its efficacy. It claims to be broad spectrum.

Product: AntiMicro Banana

Description:
100% plant derived preservative made of parts of the banana tree, that would go to waste. Water soluble, concentrated plant extract. Broad spectrum preservative, can be used in wide pH range 4-10

https://www.makingcosmetics...

CAS: 7732-18-5, 89957-82-4
INCI: Musa Sapientum (Banana) Leaf/Trunk Extract

Re: Using Ronaspheres in anhydrous products: Concealer sticks

I am in the USA and was able to find ronaspheres at From N ature With Love. https://www.fromnaturewithl...

It was on sale even, now I'm thinking I should have bought more if they're this great and so hard to find.

Re: $3 subscribers and up: February 2020 duplication request post

Hi there! I've been very interested in deodorants like Lume that seem to be creating an inhospitable environment for bacteria via alpha hydroxy acids, but that claim to be gentle enough to use on sensitive parts of the body such as the, ahem, "bathing suit area." I'd love to try to create my own and I have some mandelic acid in a packet for this purpose, but what I've had trouble figuring out is what the ideal PH is for a product like this.

Even if you don't choose this for a duplication post, I'd love your opinion or pointers on how to approach something like this.

Here are the ingredients for their unscented cream tube deodorant. This is a cream that as far as I know is somewhat thick and needs to be rubbed in. I haven't ever touched it because it contains a corn starch derivative that would make my skin peel off due to my corn allergy, haha. I believe these are all their proper INCI names. Also note, I saw a youtube review that the unscented version smells terrible so there's probably a good reason to put fragrance in there.

Water
Mandelic Acid
Maranta Arundinacea Root Powder
Tapioca Starch
Isoamyl Laurate
Hydroxypropyl Starch Phosphate
Cetearyl Alcohol
Caffeine
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride
Behenyl Alcohol
Hydrogenated Castor Oil
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice
Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter
Tocopherol
Allantoin
Panthenol
Stearyl Alcohol
Dimethicone
Cetearyl Glucoside
Pentylene Glycol
Phenylpropanol
Potassium Hydroxide
Sodium Benzoate
Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate

Here's a link to the product page. There's a button with "See all ingredients" to show the ingredients list.
https://lumedeodorant.com/p...

Re: What do you want to know? Creating a setting lotion

Hi there! Been subscribing for a bit but this is my first comment/question. I know this post is from 2015... do you still have a source for Polyquat-44? I'm trying to make some wavy hair care products and a number of hair fixative polyquats are just not available for individual purchase that I can tell. But I also have noticed that a lot of suppliers don't have great search engine optimization, so maybe I just don't know where to look. (I'm also desperately looking for polyquat-69 in a smaller than 200kg barrell lol.)

Re: Dwayne Johnson Says That “Snowflake Culture” Is Taking Us Backwards

This interview was falsified.
