My goal is to understand what the Lord truly wants me to know...and to live my life accordingly. I'm not sure what you mean about an "insane translation"
My method is to read, if I don't quite "get it" I look at the notes regarding verse(s), then I follow those were they suggest, If I still feel I am missing something I may pull out the concordance. Then I pray on it..Always.
I currently use NIV study.
