I agree that the Obama administration is doing far too little to both work toward promoting progressive politics and also reporting progressive changes to the system. Let's hope that they gain more confidence in 2010.

Great point. If we just step back and look at the larger context, we can learn so much more about immigration in the Americas. It's not driven by people trying to break the law, it's driven by the differences between the "haves" and the "have-nots," just like lots of social problems in our society.

In fact, numbers usa represents a great diversity of violent, racist, hateful people. Don't forget that they have received plenty of eye-opening publicity. Like the article that reveals their close ties to supremacists and other dangerous racist groups.
