They've got a killer slice of potato bacon pizza at Pie Hole. Potato on pizza is actually really good!

These are advocates, trying to send a message about the Constitutional right to bear arms. If I were in the Starbucks when they came strolling in with their unloaded guns, so long as they were only doing it for a demonstration, I wouldn't mind. But this does bring up a question, if you don't realize it's a demonstration, and think that the guns are loaded or for non-demo purposes, it might make me a bit uncomfortable.

However, I sure wouldn't just go carrying my gun willy-nilly into Starbucks just for the heck of it. That's kind of pointless, even if it's not illegal.

On the Starbucks note, I think that Starbucks is alright, but I agree that there are way better cups of coffee elsewhere, and for a much better value! It's good to stay local.

Great article! It's true... blogs are a great way to, well, do any of what was mentioned above! I also use the self-hosted Wordpress.org for my blog, and I have also used Tumblr and Blogger as well.

You might also want to check out Live Journal. I've never used it but a friend of mine loves it!

I've got qwest, because of the home phone and Verizon bundle discounts. We got it with their "price for life" guarantee, so there's no cost increase to the service at any time. We couldn't be happier! Qwest DSL customers also get free wifi access at McDonalds, starbucks and barnes and noble! It's great.

CableOne is dumb, especially with their bandwidth caps, and other hidden rules and regulations. ClearWire was very poor, had terrible signals, and had even worse customer service. The business I work at had a booth set up at the Idaho Center, and clear did a service upgrade halfway thru the trade show, so we had to try and update our modem or something during the trade show. It ended up not working, so we had to use the old-school credit card swiper when people were buying using their credit cards. We called Clear, they were less than sympathetic, so we pulled the plug and switched to Verizon mobile broadband.

Small business owners ARE suffering from these credit and debit card fees. Those fees add up very quickly, and they are unbelievable. I sure hope something is changed soon.

Fast-food style burger: 1st is Five Guys, 2nd is Chadders, and 3rd is Smash burger which is also very good but is a tad expensive. Unless you don't want to include chain restaurants, then consider the following:

(non-chain) Burger joint: Burger n Brew

Oriental/Chinese: Mai Thai

Pizza: Pie Hole or Flying Pie

Drive-in: Roe-Ann Drive In (Emmett)

I've also heard that the Hilltop Kodiak Grill on Hwy 21 is a great place! It was featured on the Food Network. I have yet to go there, though.

That's it for now, but I do need to get out more. Hopefully I can try out some new places from what will be posted here!

Chowder @ ChowderBlog here. Just want to say thanks for featuring my blog post on Treasured Valley, and right at the top! Wowza! The Boise Flash Mob was tons of fun.
And (since it's my lucky day), my blog is being a bit dumb today. There's probably some kind of server issue. Hopefully I'll figure this out soon :P
UPDATE: It's not the server, it's the theme. Who-da thunk it? The blog is fixed, and should be back to normal. :)

I actually enjoyed watching BOTH in their current timeslots... but if I have to pick one over the other, I'm with team CoCo! Have you seen Conan in his latest shows? He's slugging NBC in the gut with almost every joke ("that network that shall not be named..."). It's hilarious, and it's about time someone makes fun of NBC exec's on their own network like Conan has!
