I visited a few years ago and the locals also hate that all anyone asks them about is Game of Thrones. There's a ton of actual history in the city, and most of the historic tours have been replaced with GoT location tours. I'm a huge GoT fan, but kind of a SHAME for a place with such a rich history.

I bet the hole in the wall bar (literally a water-side bar you get to through a hole in the wall of the city) has gotten pretty overrun at this point.
