I don't even know how you would have time to be bored - I'm slammed here with Christmas prep!

When I'm bored I play Madden 09 on the Wii. I still throw too many interceptions - have a lot to learn.

It's funny, Heather and I were driving this morning and I was just listening to the Christmas music on the radio and noticed the same thing - the lack of Jesus in the season. I'm not opposed to Santa or even consumerism, but it is important to remember the reason we celebrate. Thanks for the comment!

We've already been in cut-mode all year. We've had to lay-off a few people (every department). We recently went through a re-finance and have just made sure that every area of our budget is within practical standards.

It's been tough, but God is good through it all and we are now positioned for greater growth. Sometimes you gotta prune the branches in order to grow deeper and stronger.

This is something I've been thinking about a lot lately - while church shouldn't necessarily be tailored to make everyone feel warm and fuzzy, we should not forget the faithful.

We have a autonomous ministry for our seniors as well as plan production elements that they respond well too.

It's a tradition for our fam to do both a ginormous breakfast (which I usually cook) and a ginormous dinner. There is no need for lunch on that day.

I grew up the son of a small business owner, so fro 9 years old I was wishing dishes and waiting tables in a small roadside cafe/convenience store. Later in high school I got a job as a box boy at the local grocery store... that's probably what I would consider my first real honest to goodness job.

Once we have little ones we plan on having Santa - too many good memories from each my wife's and my childhood. There will be a point which we'll reveal to them the truth (unless they figure it out on their own).
