We launched Socialgift.it yesterday (whipped in 2-3 days). It basically does something similar except it uses Facebook data (better/more structured?) and mashes it with Amazon.

They should consider still offering a "5 customer" FREE account.... this is super key since this was a BIG differentiator between them and Recurly.

Am sure this was considered by them, but I can't say how much this will help. Please see Freshbooks pricing too.... full-featured just based on customer growth. "Grow with us" is what their pricing says.... so did Recurly's till they made this big change with no intimation / user feedback.

From the few examples I saw I don't agree that this is the right way to do ajax with Django. Specifically I really dislike having div id's in your python/view code?!

No more credit once 24 hours have passed OR purchase occurred OR another affiliate link was clicked. The first 2 are not standard with other affiliate programs. Session lasts for 15-60 days ... no clauses. 3rd bit is pretty standard, since that makes assigning credit easier.

From Amazon's operating agreement:

"The session begins when the customer clicks through a Special Link on your site to the Amazon Site and ends upon the first to occur of the following events: (a) 24 hours elapses from the customer's initial click-through, (b) the customer places an order for a Product that is not a Digital Product, or (c) the customer follows a third party link to the Amazon Site that is formatted with an Associate’s tag."
