Spotiamp specifically lists that it isn't a product of Spotify. Also, Spotify hasn't yet been acquired by them. The fact that Facebook still requires that you make a 2way friend relationship just prevents any type of networking that Twitter and Friendfeed users have become so acustom to. So even though everyone can see everything, big deal. I'm not going to use Facebook more just because of that, because I can't follow them.

Re: All Apps Must Be Mobile, Offline and Online

A.viary has, since the beginning of the product, been planning to offer off line versions of their applications using Adobe Air. (FAQ FTW)

All applications will eventually need to be available online, because people will need to be able to access them anywhere, and offline, because nothing is foolproof (internet cables, servers, etc) on either the host or the users end.

I also agree about platforms. You can't build on only PC and Mac anymore, you need to build on all the platforms: PC, Mac, Linux, Web, Mobile, Mobile Web.

Re: Facebook's changing their design again, and shamelessly cloning FriendFeed

I noticed that as well, as I described on my blog (http://chacha102.com), the side items that filter the main content are similar to the lists in Friendfeed. I think that Facebook is smart in picking this because I believe it is one of the most efficient designs for reading content, but couldn't Facebook be a little more original?

Re: I Can’t Update Everywhere!

I think that IM services should integrate with either Facebook or Twitter and just copy your status back/forth. This is where the true innovation for Twitter apps are going to be. You will actually have to come up with new ideas to cope with resource limits (Not saying that Twitter couldn't provide more than 20,000+ API Calls/Hour though)

Re: Bleg: Please browser makers, show a where the audio is coming from button

One thing I hate is not having the ability to turn down sound for even the browser. At the beginning the least that should have been done was create an API/Remote key, but anyway. What will happen is for the X number of months it takes for people to switch over, many will still give out their passwords, creating one last chance for people to be phisphed. With the whole site badge, alongside the phishing attacks, I'm sure a lot of people are losing faith in Twitter's ability to keep their accounts secure. The upside to Twitter being so unique however is that you can't really go to a more safe service (besides Facebook). Thank you for keep us up to date through all this chaos!
