It's smart and funny. Tries a little too hard for the funny, sometimes, but only sometimes. And some of the 'issues' they present would have fit into Star Trek nicely. Its not all lightweight.

The few French people I met were almost uniformly accepting of my attempts on their language. They weren't delighted, and twice asked if I'd rather speak English, but they accepted it. The Quebecois (in Montreal), not so much
