Excellent and very well researched article. Trade imbalance between India & China is enormous.
Some facts:

Imports from China accounted for 19.3 percent of India's total imports in 2015.
Exports to China amounted to just 3.6 percent of total exports.

India accounts for 2.6% of China's total exports and only 0.5% of its imports.

P-8 does not have Magnetic Anomally Dectection sensors.

Kawasaki's P-1 it does have Magnetic Anomally Dectection sensors (MAD).

Magnetic Anomaly Detector uses the change in the local magetic field caused by a submarine to detect it.

Well, Boeing's P-8 Poseidon can cast close to $256.5 million each.

Where as Kawasaki's P-1 $140.8 million. You get the difference.
