Interesting not, Peter Capaldi, the next Doctor played Caecilius in the Fires of Pompeii.

Tennant brought a magic to the series that it didn't have since Tom Baker played the Doctor.

I love the Audiobooks. Especially the ones about former Doctors since they get the original actors to read them. This could be a great opportunity to do more Christopher Eccleston, and I would love some John Hurt "War Doctor" books too. It may be that I just love to hear John Hurt talk.

I feel your pain. It took me a while to get into Matt Smith. I loved Amy Pond from day one, and well, every episode River is not in makes me a little sad. haha.

I have High Hopes for the series. I hope that the show will return to its horror roots with the change in doctors.

I totally forgot about Bradley being on Game of Thrones. He was really good on there, and I also hope he will get a wider variety of part after this.

As far as whether you will enjoy Day of the Doctor without seeing more Tennant and Smith... That is difficult. The significance of Rose could be missed, and the many references to River Song as well. That is a hard one to answer.

Since, part of this story happens at the same Time as the special, End of Time, it might profit you to watch it first, but I think it stands on its own.

Moffat made such a love letter to the series, and unlike so many Doctor Who stories, this one is character based and honestly make me want to rewatch all the new series in light of these events. It might do that for you too.

I hope this is the beginning of making ebooks viable in and of themselves. There are so many things that can be done in digital that are impractical for print media. We as writers have to make a the experience compelling before people buy the book so our readers have a reason to buy the books.

This is my latest attempt to make open the story up.

There are a lot of good books and a few great books, like any genre, but it is not as easy to find certain types of books...

I have recently started rereading my Alice Hoffman books. I really want a Pandora for books so I can say, more like Blue Diary... Here's to dreaming.

I've often thought that Mira Jade should be the focus of a Live Action TV series. I would love to see Star Wars: The Emperor's Hand. Start in the years before Palpatine died and keep going. It would make one hell of a show.

It can be expensive to run a video site, I know we've looked into it. I am not saying it was purely economic decision, but I bet that was a large factor in the decision.

Space Opera shouldn't be any more expensive to make for TV than Sanctuary is, since that show is produced almost entirely on green screen. I think that show is a model for how to produce quality Scifi on a budget.

Tell me about it. I joined Pixel Corp for a while, and that is an interesting place to learn, but I hoped they would help me meet and greet with others who were passionate about film so that I could get my film ideas made. At least, at the time I was a member, that didn't happen.

I would gladly offer my writing talents to someone else's project for their help filming mine. So far no deal. I am desperately looking for a cartoonist right now to work on a project, and I think it might be easier to pull my own teeth with a spoon.

Crimson Empire should be a movie or TV series, so should the Thawn Trilogy, the Dark Nest, New Jedi Order, and Legacy of the Force. I am surprised they allow major characters like Chewbacca to die. That is something most Franchises would never allow.

I think LucasArts is testing the waters with The Old Republic Online. If it goes over well, then they prove that a wider audience is interested in characters who were not in the films.

We really need to move forward on developing an "industry standard" or open source project to make it easy for anyone to get started. I have 2 projects in the works right now, and I hopefully will be ready to start sharing more info soon.

Fans are the market, not advertisers. We need to find ways to raise the funds to produce work, without begging for money like a PBS station. That is our challenge. It is doable, but we have to prove the model.

I want to add more of the extended universe to the Star Wars site. I really want to open discussion on them more. Damn... that is part of the Books thing... LOL. I am desperately looking for a better way to have those conversations.

I started the process to bring GoodReads into dashPunk. They have a robust API, but we may need to raise some money to hire a Coder. I will have something up soon to be a quick fix for now.

As for the Manga group, I can set that up for you here on dashPunk. Email me what you want and need, and I will get it for you :) I have been looking for that too.

As I said on the show, I am concerned about writing a LOTS podnovel. It might be fun, but I would have to figure out what to write about. If there is a particular storyline you would like me to pick up, I would be open to suggestion.

I had an interesting conversation with Kathy Mar about this last year. It was just after a Chaos Filk, and she just started talking about how much she loved being around fannish people. The room then spent about an hour trying to figure out why we all felt that way. In the end, we realized that most fans live a deeply examined life, constantly learning about ourselves and the world around us. It is the one thing I love most about fen.
