All this inside my 6th. Yes, Saturn rules my house of service. Hard work, maybe a hard life but not so once the lessons are learned. This week I discovered, literally, how the house of my own body needs serious repair. Took a bad fall on my knee (Saturn) and had an acid reflux discovery (very scary, might actually be related to Sun/6th). So..time for new life and new lifestyle as dictated by my health. Work....lots of stops and starts, even some misunderstandings (Mercury is far behind as possible behind the Sun). My dad was a Cap...and I intned not to follow the path and example he set re food and work. So...this is where I choose to differr from him and truly be on my own (Aquarius) Saturn foods to maintain health? Hm......I suppose that when things must get done at work, they get done thoroughly and to the letter. Also choosy with friends and lovers.

Re: Kentucky Derby 2012 contender update, Fair Grounds 1/21 selections

Busted after 7th race. Was running on fumes after 3rd actually and didn't have confidence to do exactas combining 7,9,10 in the 5th which paid off in triple digits..had done win only. Lost most of my bankroll in the 1st. So....January is done for me. No wagering until February 4, with Santa Anita graded stakes action my likely target.

Re: Masters 2010 picks

Proud to say that all, plus my early pick Sean O'Hair made the cut and did well. Yup. Setsuko with the best jockey/trainer combo in the bunch (Bejarano, Mandella), Lookin At Lucky, Sidney'sCandy, Caracortado

Re: Santa Anita race selections 2/13/10

Recap:
Had to skip the dime super as my top choice, as #6 was odds-on fave. Converting my choices to mutuals...I bet $4 win and place on #6, $4 on #7 and #4 to show. Result was 6-4-1-5 instead of my planned 6-2-7-4 Win/place combo gave me $12.40, and $4.80 in the show pool. From $16 wagered I gathered a $1.20 profit so far.
I wouldn't normally play dime super on a short field of 7 horses but gave myself the opportunity anyway.
Race 5:
#5 was odds-on fave so skipped dime super. Mutuel wagers were $4 win/place on #2, $4 show on both #6 and #9, plus $2 across board on #8. Total wagered $22. Result: 7-8-9-3, hardly what I had considered. My show bet on #9 earned me $22.40. The across the board bet earned me $39.20.. Total earned: $61.60. Profit: $41.60

Race 6 I chose not to bet dime super, as I was aware field would be only as many as 5. Result was 4-1-3-2. Wagered $16. Win/place earned me $31.20. Earned $5.60 for the show bet. Total earned: $36.80. Profit was $20.80

Race 7: 4 was odds on fave so skipped the dime super.
Mutuels were: $4 win/place on #4, $4 show on both #10 and #3. Also those 2 across the board bets. This race wouldn't have worked with dime super anyway, as the result was 5-12-4-11. Amazingly, my 2 outsiders in the across the board selections come in one-two! From these I earned $78 (#5 went off at 10-1), and $26.40 (#12 being 8-1) Total earned: $104.40. Wagered $28. Profit: $76.40

Race 8 I knew would be short field so skipped dime super and used mutuels as shown above. Total wagered: $16. Result was 3-8-1-5. Missed on all mutuels, earning $0. Took a loss of $16
Race 9 I finally bet on a dime super. and the across the board bets as described. Wagered $57.60 on this plus mutuels...$69.60 out so far. Result was 5-1-7-2...missed by one horse to hit on the dime super. Meanwhile, another huge win by the across the board angle...as Jeranimo, an 11-1 shot, won out....and I earned $74 for that effort. Earned a profit of $5.40
Total wagered on the 6 races: $167.60
Total earned:$294
Profit: $129.40 77% in the black.
0-1 on dime super but very happy to have played the ATB angle, as that proved to be quite the equalizer.

Re: my Super Bowl prediction, with stats

Game went as advertised :)))

Re: Recapturing the grandeur of analog: digital’s next milestone

I think you had turned your nose up at the mention of this website, but I remain a fan of them. The first time I heard of the song was actually through a cassette maxi-single EP by U2. I remember purchasing the cassette at HMV on W 72nd St. The single out of the 3 songs included was "One", still my all-time favorite. Also included was "Lady With The Spinning Head". "Satellite" is spirited, as is the case with great U2 numbers, with The Edge's guitar the perfect foil for Bono's vox.

Re: Seekers and tweeters in new commerce

Just reading about your new business. This news, ancient as it is, appears to be along the lines of your focus. A planned alliance of Google and Facebook with music and music fans as the fulcrum: an opt-in for users of Google's search engine to sample songs they search for...and a further option to purchase an online (crappier) version or the full song for download. This being the leading edge of digital technology and marketing, it's not under the SoundExchange umbrella, and therefore the dollars will not trickle down to copyright holders, songwriters, or performers. As David Poe mentioned on Facebook while sharing the news "La-la means I still won't pay you".

http://bits.blogs.nytimes.c...

Re: twitter this - Michael Tiernan says thanks for airplay. ...

http://ravenms.razorstream.com:80/mediaserver/stream/KNciAhkuGIVF3%2Bl8ZUHSXA%3D%3D.wmv

Re: twitter this - Scenes from Belmont Park on Belmont Day 6/7/08 ...

And here's how you can concoct your own Belmont Breeze.
