I would encourage you to get as much experience as possible working on various projects. Don't be afraid to fail -- hopefully you and your organization can embrace it and look at failure as a part of on-going, continuous quality improvement. If you can gain experiences working on projects in different industries, you will begin to appreciate the differences in business operations, company culture, and customer-focused services.

I love to sketch stuff out quickly and make notes about how elements should work. I've found myself doing less wireframing and more prototyping which helps me communicate the design of the system via its objects and their behavior. I think this shift is because people are printing less frequently. Now, my communications are done more often in digital form. The traditional wireframe documentation is evolving into very powerful, well-annotated, online documentation.

What do you in your documentation / comps that help you communicate the behavior of the high-fidelity elements? Do you annotate the comp in the same way you would a wireframe?
