Thais for sharing Jay. I hope ePatient Dave and the stories of many more ePatients make it into medical books in the near future. So much to learn from them. If we wanted to. If we listened a bit more.

Re: Random Halo Effects

You are right. I made the calculation with .1 instead of .01. Thanks!
Nonetheless 1M is fantastic.

Re: Health, Innovation and Modernity

Correct! And checklists can be more cost-effective than Patient
Simulation Centres. A few days ago the World Health Organization
released checklists for surgical patients. All WHO checklists are
available at: http://www.google.ca/search....

Re: Health, Innovation and Modernity

Thanks for your comment. The post suggest the possibility of what the 'u' may mean or stand
for. Similarly to eHealth most likely 'uhealth' has a positive connotation
but I wanted to show that it could have a negative one.

I am interested to know more about e-ehealth and e-uhealth but definitively
more about mmm-ehealth-c2 ( miraculous meta massive health
collaboration/correlation).

Agree though we have to wait until i-Web 3.x... Let's talk to the marketers
of healthcare.

2008/6/21 Disqus <>:

Re: Health, Innovation and Modernity

Thanks Salem.

2008/6/19 Disqus <>:

Re: Health, Innovation and Modernity

Hi Brian,
Thanks for reading/looking at my blog. It seems we have similar interests! I
am always fascinated with Kurzweil's ability to capture the future -- today.
He is certainly one of my favourite authors; I also think Dr. Jill Bolte
Taylor's TED talk is very moving but have not seen the book yet. Thanks for
the recommendation. I just started the Diving Bell and The Butterfly and I
have not been able to go beyond the second chapter. It very painful
especially for me who could have been bound to a wheel chair two years ago
in a neck injury. One day I'll write a book detailing my ordeal and full
recovery.

Cheers,

Carlos
