I came here through organic search, specifically, trying to find how to use Twitter lists for Twitter growth hacking. I started reading and I was not sure if your article might help but kept on digging every line cause it dealt with more aspects of social audience growth than I expected till I finally accepted the fact that your content is really helpful and your site may come handy in the future so I will save it to my faves. Recently I tried Social Quant for 14 days. I cannot afford it right now but I want to make clear, that it really gives you what it promises. Their website is not what you expect from so great a tool but man, it gives you tons of followers up to the point that you get happily surprised and get hooked on that Twitter follower counter going crazy. It was a pity my trial came to an end. I definitely will consider it when I get a couple of bucks. I am glad with what I have read here so I followed you on Twitter and subscribed! I would rely more in using a free Wordpress account and then go for full hosting. It is much better than wasting time with free website builders in which your domain is hooked to them. Besides that, you've done a great job reviewing here. Thanks for the nice article. Hi from Barcelona, Josep ;)

Everything goes with the job. If you are the visible face in an institution, then all the blame is on you. If someone sells you a bad product you don't argue with a guy in Hong Kong in the production line, you blame someone on the phone that's dealing with your complaints. So, Matt Cutts must be held responsible for the flaws of his team. His decisions are final after staff come up with a new anti-spam tweak of the algorithm. So thumbs down, Mr. Matt Cutts.

Yet another ridiculous tweak of the bloody algorithm. Not happy with pushing all spammers up in SERPs with Penguin, now Google determines who has 'real' authority and who does not. So why not, let's deprive authors with real content from the 'privilege' of having the Google plus profile picture in the snippet at search results. Hey, that's strange, Matt Cutts does have a profile picture blatantly showing off in SERPs. This is really disgusting. Google search engine results are far from being logical at the moment and spammers apparently targeted by Penguin and Panda are happily roaming top results with faked reviews and sponsored ads. Someone at Google really ought to seriously assess the harm this single guy is making to a search engine that used to be useful, fast and clever not too long ago.

Well, I'd better comment with my real name then. I guess this step will avoid the annoying practice of some companies of overflowing the web with their links when they couldn't care less about the comment they leave or the content they read. Now we will get real comments, I hope. Nevertheless, I think Google is taking spam as some sort of witch hunt mission and in their obsession of cleaning stuff, they also harm many that do their homework.

Samsung Galaxy S already comes with Froyo now in Vodafone Spain and Kies update is also possible for those that bought it before the first days of January this year. Let's see if we get Gingerbread by May. I still don't understand why they don't update everyone at the same time in different carriers. I understand they have to tailor Android versions according to each carrier but they should have that prepared before starting with updates. No wonder clients get pissed off.

I have serious doubts too about the accuracy of this clinical trial and the possibility to obtain reliable results with such small sample size. What about faked popular accounts with a bunch of Twitter followers, does that make their amygdalae bigger? Having many followers does not make you more sociable from the point of view of the person. I can be the most introverted person in the world and have a lot of followers. I could have many friends in the real world and be a total hermit on the web. I have read on wikipedia though, that the amygdala appears to play a role in binge drinking. That is a good way to be social and make friends too ;)

I like the idea Jesse, I added the extension to Firefox, I allowed the connection to Facebook and see the screen pop out giving instructions as to how to hover over the tweet but I can't see any Facebook button yet. Does it depend on which Firefox version you may have?

To learn from past mistakes is wise. Yes, on many an occasion we rant about so and so and the next moment we are the first in line praising it. That's human nature. You are right about not always falling for the shiny objects that fast. I am trying to come up with ideas for Google Wave but I guess is still not my train to catch although I will get on sooner or later. One thing I will not do now is to undermine its potential cause then I will have to swallow my words like has happened with Twitter in my case. Another excellent post Chris that reminds me I have to drop by often.

That's a very straightforward and helpful outline. I think that with everything that's going on in the real time search arena and the signals Google is sending about their change of attitude towards SEO we must all rely on building upon our social network.
