Totally agree. as far as I'm concerned Social Media is for networking. Networking lets me get to business colleagues and customers, but beyond that I still have to sell myself or my product. Nobody is going to buy my product just because I'm out there asking them how their day is going, or reading about them listening to the latest music CD. They're going to buy because I give them a reason to.

More people should read this article. Especially all those amateur SEO hotshots.

I guess its a little late towelcome you to the Entrecard community, but I'll do so anyway. As for Michael's guide, I recommend it as well. It helped me when I first joined Entrecard.

So many bloggers don't know where to lookto find icons like these so thanks for putting this small list together. I remember when Feed Icons first produced their orange icon there were no coloured versions available and I actually made a small selection of coloured feed icons for the Serendipity community, they're still available if anyone wants to download them;

Great headers, this is a fantastic resource for bloggers, just one question, these header images are 600x136, did you have a specific theme in mind when you sized them up. I'm thinking something like the default theme for wordpress but I could be wrong.
