Hi! Thanks a lot for your post, I hope it will help me.

I found out that my install - Catalina, latest update - does not have the EFI/CLOVER/drivers64 folders... And it works fine, including all USB 3.0 ports.

Any comments on that?

I live in Brazil, more specifically in Sao Paulo, 12 million inhabitants, lousy public transportation, terrible traffic (50 k + deaths per year in the country). I use my Sportster (14 years old and going...) to go to work, but I am an engineer. Motorcycle delivery of objects with motorcycles - from documents to parts to food - is a reality here. And it's been going on for some 30 years now.
People who make their living with it receive pennies for a delivery, they are exploited, work 12+ hours a day, using small bikes (from scooters to 250 cc max, due to the high cost of vehicles in Brazil), even bycicles.
Now that the pandemic is a reality, these guys are working a lot more and getting paid even less, now that Uber iFood and Rappi got the grip on them, monopolizing the deliveries for the majority of restaurants. Rappi is a colombian company that is also present in the US, iFood is Brazilian, but wants to go to the US, too. They are all multi-billion dollars worth.
Fortunately, I do not need to do these deliveries for a living - underpaid, no social security, dangerous job.

Bom dia! Há alguns dias estou migrando do Hackintosh para o Ubuntu 19.04. Já migrei quase tudo, faltam alguns bancos de dados. No Mac, usava o SQLPro, que é bem útil e fazia tudo que eu precisava. Às vezes, usava o phpmyadmin tb. Agora, no Ubuntu, estou usando o phpmyadmin (que deu trabalho pra instalar...) e linha de comando, mas prefiro um ambiente gráfico. Baixei a versão 8.0.16 do pacote deb, que é a mais recente no site da MySQL (como banco de dados, estou usando o MariaDB, parece que o Workbench conecta nele). Usei os comandos acima, os erros que vc menciona apareceram e, ao tentar resolver as dependências com o comando -f install, ele desinstala o Workbench. Se eu digo para ele não desinstalar, o ícone aparece nos apps instalados, mas não funciona.
Tentei, também, instalar as dependências "na unha", mas não funcionou.
Edivaldo, aproveito a oportunidade pra te agradecer por este site, muito bacana! E o seu método foi o mais próximo que cheguei de conseguir instalar esta praga.

Hi! Yes, I rejetted to lager jets. Original idle: 25, substituted for a 27.5; main jet: 165, substituted for a 170 (this one is from Yost); original needle: 97, substituted for a 96 (the smaller, the richer, in this case). Riding in town (Sao Paulo), mildly agressive ride: 36 mpg; road conditions, going between 60 and 75 mph: 50 mpg. Not bad for a 1200 cc engine on E27. Ethanol can be a problem in cold weather. I have a '74 VW Beetle, it has no fuel enricher, but starts easily after one or two tries, even in cold (for Brazil, something around 50º F). My wife has a small Toyota, it has gasoline injection for cold starts and we run it on 100% ethanol the year round, starts easily. Corporate farming: it is very harmful for everyone - including the farmers, they will not be able to keep their profits going and will break, sooner or later. Biodiesel: it has its drawbacks, too. Even wind energy has lots of drawbacks, too.

Hi! I live in Brazil and I own a 2005 carburated Sportster. Regarding politics and environment, the same things happen here - the sugar cane lobby (we produce ethanol out of sugar cane), the environmental cost of the plantations, etc. That said, we have been using ethanol for more than 40 years. Most cars, like our Toyota compact, can run with any mix of gas and/or ethanol. Economically, it depends on the harvest periods to get the best economy out of ethanol, but we run solely on ethanol in the Toyota, for it makes for more power out of the engine. Our regular gas is only 80 octanes and ethanol runs better. This is a hot country and even in winter you can run on 100% ethanol. It is available country-wide. Regarding the Sportster, I bored the cyls and turned it into a 1200 cc engine. The Keyhin CV became instable and I switched to a Mikuni 42. After changing some jets, it runs smoothly on our E27 - yes, 27% ethanol. Regards.
