Contact / Comment

In an ecosystem which can support actual dramatic improvements in an individual's state of health, healthcare is free. In such a system there are loose requirements for particpation, such as making donations, or the barter of services, since the other providers and I have bills to pay. The community includes relationships between unrelated families, extended families, and includes many who participate in one or more alternative forms of education for their children (there are numerous home schooling groups, as well as a Waldorf school). A 'retirement'-type community is located across the street from the school and includes regular activities with the children, including gardening, arts, education, etc. A biodynamic farm, also very near the school, participates in the community life, and community members are encouraged to live in balance with their environment in many ways, especially through what food is consumed. Medical care includes both conventional and alternative approaches, with a distinct emphasis on holistic modalities and education of individuals about their responsibilities both to their own health and to that of the community (microcosm reflects macrocosm).
Personally I think a project like this will take 5-6 years to get off the ground, and at least 10 years measure the 'outcomes'.
