A subscription fee was not required. Over 100 games had 1-hour plus trials available for free without even having an account. The marketing was awful, and clearly even gamers didn't know what it was and loved to hate it for whatever reason, but it worked great and was nice not having to take the entire internal hard drive of a Series S just to play Destiny 2. It was great not having to reinstall Valhalla to check out a new event or patch. The (optional) monthly Pro subscription had a ton of amazing indies and AAA games right up to the end - Arcade Paradise and Hot Wheels Unleashed for example. $9.99 for the Ultimate edition of Borderlands 3 is a price consoles still haven't seen and that was a year and a half ago - the weekly sales were killer...but anyway...

Only having the whale bundles seems weird. $2.99 Captain America bundle was a no-brainer, I figured we would see something similar weekly, if not daily, but nope - that was 3 months ago. It's nice, because I am not at all tempted to buy anything that's over $10 and there isn't anything under $10. I had over 6000 gold just from playing a lot for months and not using it, so I almost used it on the '$60' Sunspot bundle because it came with so many tokens and credits but then worried it would be a waste for whatever reason...like not spending it isn't a waste?

Wish so many variants weren't so ugly, or reused. The Pixel series sucks and really should have been a homerun, not interested in baby or anime, and my shop seems to get the same 4-5 slots on repeat with 1-2 new cards a day. It's really weird given the sheer number of cards available that I don't have.

As far as FOMO, I don't think it's possible to collect EVERYTHING without spending thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars...right? Just so many variants and it's all random.

Played an hour of Fire Red (?), Arceus and Y, and then about 10 hours of Shield. I'm in my 40's so I was out of high school when the first games hit. Tried, but I just don't 'get' Pokemon still.

I've been playing Splatter through the weekend and enjoying it. Finding secrets and making some occasional choices with the oddball characters you meet along the way. The voice acting is a bit corny, but I find it's a nice addition that makes the game feel like a bit more than just a typical shooter.

Really enjoyed this on Switch a few years ago. Kinda curious how it controls with a touchscreen. Might give it a shake. Feel like Road Rash could make a big comeback, but this is a fantastic stand-in, and who doesn't love a loading screen that features the devs home phone number?

Judge Dredd. Need an actual good expansive Judge Dredd game. A la the Mad Max game from several years ago, but add on Mega City One as well. 7/10 Judge Dredd game is all I want.

Love this game! Really great adventure. Finished it up, then immediately grabbed the DLC and dove in again. Bummed that the physical sold out so quickly, but glad whoever wins will get to try out this great game.
