It's just so sad. He always had such presence, and was wonderful at what ever character he played - comedy or drama. If anything comes out of this, let it be a greater awareness of clinical depression.

The case was lost once William Hodgman became ill. If he had been in good health, Clark and Darden would have never been able to show their incompetence. I remember I was a freshman, and when they said the verdict was in, my professor bet me a soda that they would find OJ guilty. When the clerk read Not Guilty, 75% of the room cheered. Imagine it now? There was no real Internet back then. Twitter would break.

Why change the rules? If you do, the Triple Crown is not as special. There is a reason it hasn't been accomplished since 1978. It will take a truly all-time great horse for it to happen (again) and I love that fact. He didn't have the best horse today, he did in the previous two races.. Still a great year. Take defeat with class.
