Even offering up advice seems to be something people get angry about. What I don't understand is people getting offended when people are trying to be friendly in the gym or outside. Some people need to relax a bit, gyms are social places and some people go there more in part for that reason alone.

Re: When Feminism Goes Too Far

Well said.

Re: When Feminism Goes Too Far

Maybe if someone told you prior that you didn't want any help.. but how is it rude to offer advice? Obviously there are the little details with the way person says something, like looking at her breasts or trying to touch her, but just saying "hey, maybe try this" is rude? Seems silly to me.

Re: When Feminism Goes Too Far

Don't worry about it. I regret commenting on any article eventually anyway ha.

Re: When Feminism Goes Too Far

I hear ya Lauren, I didn't say there was a brigade, and I didn't mean to make anyone angry. I thought your comment might have been misunderstood. By "foundation", I meant undertone. Or base. Should have chosen a different word. I apologize for the confusion.

Re: When Feminism Goes Too Far

I don't think that the author intended for that statement to come out as you heard it.. I don't believe she thinks that it's wrong to climb with your friends like guys like to climb with their "bro's", but that it shouldn't be with an anti-man foundation.

Re: The Best Fake Climbing News 2016

Seemed like a micro-aggression, dude.

Re: Climbing for Likes: the Social Media Trap

Awesome article! Of the recent conversations about social media affecting the climbing culture, this definitely stands out to me. No blaming, just honest writing. This was good. Thanks Andrew!

Re: Rifle 911

This was really great!
