I have learned that I have to realize it is not all up to me. I can't do it all! I think that youth ministry is not dead! But I think that the "build it and they will come" days are long over. I think that in some ways every student ministry will be "attractional" at some point but the whole goal is to lead students to be on mission with serving Christ. If a student can come and be attracted because of relationships and fellowship and then come to know Christ and in turn grow into a leader, that is the goal! In a down economy I'm changing around what we do and making the priority serving and small group driven fellowship.
Great conversations!

Re: Running but going Nowhere

Thanks, it is easy to go through the motions isn't it? We are to help build each other up, whether that is in a small group, serving in a program in a church. That is vital and sharing your faith in the workplace, community and in missions. I think it is both/and and not either/or, know what I mean?
The church is God's plan A to reach the world. Our goal is to make disciples who make disciples. Thanks for the comment!
