There is ample support for the validity of Jesus! My prayer is that you will discover the truth of Christ and His love for you. I'm not in the religion industry but a follower of Jesus Christ. He has changed my life! The Word of God is truth, life changing and completely trustworthy.

Saying "no" has been one of the hardest things, especially in student ministry. I have learned that I have to realize it is not all up to me. I can't do it all! What I can do I want to do well but not be spread thin between numerous things and not doing anything well.

Great post! I am trying to improve on how I write and add to the conversation in ministry. I really like disqus a lot, it is easy to use and you are able to keep track of comments, etc.

Great thoughts. I think that youth ministry is not dead! But I think that the "build it and they will come" days are long over. I think that in some ways every student ministry will be "attractional" at some point but the whole goal is to lead students to be on mission with serving Christ. If a student can come and be attracted because of relationships and fellowship and then come to know Christ and in turn grow into a leader, that is the goal! In a down economy I'm changing around what we do and making the priority serving and small group driven fellowship.

It is important to serve within the church and outside of the church. We are to help build each other up, whether that is in a small group, serving in a program in a church. That is vital and sharing your faith in the workplace, community and in missions. I think it is both/and and not either/or, know what I mean?
The church is God's plan A to reach the world. Our goal is to make disciples who make disciples. Thanks for the comment! Merry Christmas!
