Hey cool - thanks a bunch for including me. Funny, I coined that @missusP handle in 2007 and have thought several times about changing it for branding reasons, but I keep getting feedback that people like it. It's a quandry! But I appreciate being included in your list. Fun names in there!

I think people are often on social networks to learn. Brands that act as resources can appease both those who want to socially learn and research, as well as those who eventually want to buy (whether they know it yet or not).

As a fellow Ferris PR alum, I am so proud of you! And, I can relate - when I headed to Boston after graduation, I knew one person (who promptly moved to NYC right after I got to Boston), had $200 and a retail job. I was bound and determined to get into high tech PR and I didn't let anything hold me back. I was scared, excited, nervous but adamant. I love to see others who are the same way and I think sharing your story, and your tips for others, is a very generous thing to do. We can all help each other reach our dreams. I'm glad you're enjoying NYC so much and you should be proud of all of your accomplishments. I know there will be many more.

Hi Chris - thank you for taking the time to share some thoughts. This reminded me of a situation where we actually were asked to be dishonest and we outright refused, at the risk of losing a client. Remembering that has given me great perspective in this situation - so thank you for that. I am lucky to have known you all these years - and even luckier to have worked with you on both sides of the coin.

Thank you, Kate. I am extremely flattered that you would take it upon yourself to write this and to say such kind things. Perhaps kind-hearted doesn't quite cut it in the PR biz. Hmmm...

But, it does in life - and so I am grateful for people like you who would stick their neck out for me and for my team of very ethical, hard working and SMART people. And, to my industry friends, colleagues and clients who have chimed in - thank you as well.

I did write a post that I am sitting on that explains what happened - but we have to put the needs and desires of our clients first and foremost and that means I can't elaborate at this time. But never say never.
