That is the new world with rules penalizing high or hard hits. Not as spectacular but hopefully fewer concussions.

My guess is this is just the first of many lesson parenthood will teach you. Kids are not like programs or internet projecdt and insisting on a single path may not be the wisest course. Children are chaotic and some times going with the flow is a better way.

That is an impressive score, considering BYU swept through the Bay area a couple of weeks ago and took down Oregon, CAL and Stanford by more than a few goals in each case.

Nice video. If they hadn't showed the score at the top, I would have thought Notre Dame was dominating. OK, I guess it was sponsored by Notre Dame. Some nice long shots and great score by the attack at the end.

Compared to Bill Walton's commentary for the Ducks Pac 12 Championship basketball win Saturday, Quint was not so bad. Anyway, i think your point that a zone can be effective is well taken.

Oregon had two big wins this week. First over Simon Fraser in Eugene, then Chapman Saturday @Chapman, but looks like they ran out of gas in the match against Stanford Sunday@UCLA.

I agree the situation is much more complex than just the difference between paying more for tuition or more for lacrosse fees. MCLA D1 vs NCAA D3 is an interesting discussion though. I think one of the attractions of Oregon's MCLA team is that it resides at a huge BCS football school with all that goes with it. That is missing at D3 schools. In an ideal world, the choice would be made on where the student could get the best education. Oh yeah, that must be in some parallel universe.

In the NCAA, is there a huge difference in the time commitments between playing D1 and D3 lacrosse? From what I have read D1 at a major school it comes close to full time. Something like, academics-lacrosse-social life- pick two.
