I changed three things after my appointment, 1) change the attitude of "we get what they send" to this is a business and we need to collect 100%. 2) to achieve this, we implemented electronic billing to medicare/medicad from paper forms 3) we changed an outdated profile rate. This alone increased our collections over 40%. We always need to think outside the box, learn and expanded from others and not be afraid of change. Excellent article.
