In all honesty, I could see myself not making it the whole week,
especially if I drive myself nuts trying to figure out everything I hear out
in public. I guess that's part of the fun though, right?

Re: http://www.makeupforthesilence.com/post/3299747486

Hey - you're on The Skyway too!

Re: http://postpunk.tumblr.com/post/3765264714

For my money, Modest Mouse also don't have a song as good as "History Lesson, Part II" for all its goofy endearing qualities and simple riff. Alas, it didn't fit even if it's a dead-on description of the guy. He's a good dude.

Re: http://tjmahr.com/post/2160653677

Friend of an ex-girlfriend sincerely believed that - opposed gay marriage because why would anyone want to get married?

Re: “Knife (Girl Talk Remix)” – Grizzly Bear ... - Some Songs Considered

http://www.grizzly-bear.net...

Re: http://somesongsconsidered.com/post/1089867791

Believe it or not (I believe it because I'm a grump and don't like doing
things), I never made it to Club Hell when I lived in Providence. This is the version that inspired my own "Masters of War" post a few weeks back!

This isn't the only instance of Vedder/PJ reinvigorating the original artist regarding a song. The Who over the past decade have played "The Kids are Alright" the way Pearl Jam covered it on their 2000 tour (& Daltrey even acknowledged it)

Re: http://perpetua.tumblr.com/post/641159636

Is that a King Crimson sample? I kept finding myself go back to their old records time and time again.

They were phenomenal last summer. I desperately want to see them this fall but the NYC and Boston dates coincide with Pavement shows I already have tickets to see and/or really awful work complications. We'll see.

They're also playing a smattering of old songs its sounds like - Mac posted the setlist from their first show recently at his portastatic.blogspot.com blog

Re: http://bwall05.tumblr.com/post/598872923

Hey, when they've milked the same musical idea for the better part of a decade, I suppose this is as creative as they get.

Re: http://somesongsconsidered.com/post/559968271

I have also listened to this song at least ten times tonight.

Re: http://somesongsconsidered.com/post/534730983

YES.
