This is EXACTLY how I've felt recently... Started for me with Necrons. I'm grateful that the same thing did not happen to my Dark Angels so I really only play them these days, of my 6 or so armies.

I've actually had good luck with it, but I'm using it very differently. I put stealth devices on all of my academy pilot TIE fighters, but not my more expensive ships. It makes the swarm portion of my force just that more annoying to deal with.

Sadly, these were primed by me about 4 years prior to me actually painting them... that was before I knew how to properly prime models. :D So with a combination of the metal model and my clueless-ness regarding priming, some of the finer details got eaten...

Oh, I'll be the first to admit it. Sadly there was not time for me to do my blood angels. Hopefully for feast, unless I have to change it a lot for 6th.

Eh, not really :). I think 6th has a fairly good potential to be a much needed shot in the arm, but I still don't think 40k is a very good game right now.

I think I would try to go second to find out how deployment goes. Probably reserve 3 squads, 2 dwa. Force him to deal with me right away. Not to mention with lots of str 8 I can pop vehicles and vidicators can be a big threat. Since there are so many threats, many of which are very difficult to kill, I think I'd be okay. Obviously, I could roll like crap and that would be that...
