It's been more than four years since Shai Reshef introduced UoPeople at TED (which is how I learned about it). It'd be great to get an update of their progress, and introduce UoPeople to a SXSW audience.

Cool (except for the reload part 🙂). We created a project dedicated for collecting "deleted" stories. Our team is trained to move a story they'd like to "delete" to a "Dead Zone" project dedicated to collecting "deleted" stories. However, this feature is nice if someone actually deletes a story by accident.

I think they're starting to grow on us, albeit they're being (mis?)used about half the time to establish dependencies (preplanned blockers?). I wonder if there's a feasible way to list stories that having blocking relationships to each other.

The HKFP article that's the basis for this PC Mag article added a correction: "AFP [article author] have corrected this piece to clarify that the suspects concerned were not directly employed by Apple." The new design looks like it was hacked into the overall preexisting design. It was a jarring visual change that didn't have any advanced warning of its arrival, AFAIK.

I don't know if they're related to the design change, but two unwelcome changes also seemed to happened around the same time:

1. Image attachments no longer expand inline when a story is in full page view. We can no longer switch to full page view to review images (e.g. screenshots or mockups) attached to a story on one page.

2. Switching a story to full page view from its "hover preview" always opens the story in full page view in a new window or tab. This incurs more page loading time than switching a story to full page view when it's "expanded" in a pane.

I too would love an option in the Backblaze client (and web admin) to permanently store a copy of my backup on B2 so I don't have to worry about it being deleted if an external drive goes "missing" for more than 30 days. Thanks!

SAYMedia/SixApart/Typepad needs to use some more serious DDoS mitigation than CloudFlare for Typepad. (Having used CloudFlare, they tend to give up to protect their other customers when a DoS attack is more than they can handle—which is mystifying given CloudFlare's business.) My site is still down, and I'm getting a 522 when I try to login to Typepad as of about 12:30 PM PDT.

Passbook looks like it'll be awesome, assuming it's no less secure than using individual apps. Its location awareness should help prevent Passbook from becoming too cluttered.

My 2011 tweets sent to Facebook had their sharing settings set to "Only Me". It's nice to see that Facebook erred on the side of privacy, but is there a way to change the sharing settings for multiple posts from the Twitter app in Facebook without editing them one-by-one? Thanks!
