a couple things: 1) i picked my records two weeks ago and some things have changed since then. Going to be tweaking record predictions in my playoffs post next week. And yes, the Vikings might get a little bump from me. We'll see.

2) very interested to see how they handle Cassel/Bridgewater. If Cassel plays well, do they ride him all season? Bridgewater has looked great in the preseason.

3) I'm not a Patriots fan. My dad raised me to be a Cowboys fan, so I sort of like them and sort of like the Patriots. But I'm a fan of the league more than of any team.

Yeah, I'm curious as to how the NFL sets up Home/Away for the schedule. Denver has to play 4 other division winners: SEA/NE/IND/CIN. They finished first in the AFC West last year so they get #1 in AFC South (home IND) and #1 AFC North (at CIN). They also play the entire AFC East and NFC West. These divisions are split 2 home / 2 away, but for some reason DEN has to play at NE and at SEA.

This does seem like an imbalance. They play 3 of 4 division winners on the road.

For the Patriots four games against division winners they play at IND, at GB, home DEN, home CIN. Split 2/2. Can't find anything online as to how they work out that type of schedule minutiae, but very interested.

plural championships, eh? wow. I think the league is too offense-skewed these days to win with just a great defense. It was Seattle's strength of course, but I also believe that Russell Wilson is a game-changer. Would be fun to see Houston win some games in January some day, though...we'll see!!!

I think Decker is underrated, but we'll see. And yeah, Moreno might be overrated. Seemed like no one wanted him this offseason. But he was definitely a legit safety valve for Manning last year, might take time for Peyton to feel that level of comfort with Ball.

Totally agree on their offense. Their rushing attack was 29th in the league last year, no way that doesn't make a drastic jump up.

Have you seen Nick Bakay's overall body of work? It's outstanding. And yes, I am absolutely pandering to Nick Bakay in order to get on his radar screen. Nothing I'd love more than to get an "attaboy" from NIck Bakay. Find me someone else with connections to the NFL Network, Seinfeld, ESPN, and Dennis Miller and I'll take him off the list.
