Not trying to be negative and, well, I am pretty relaxed discussing this. While TH is putting it's spin on this subject, I'm doing my best to say this is just a marketing scheme. I think the biggest takeaway from all of this is it is up to US as individuals to make the best of life and not be roped into what a company wants us to hear/do. YES, let's all get outside that day and also be happy for the employees to get a paid day off. As a co-op, their money-making power is not and hasn't really ever been tied to BF. AND look at all the great press they've garnered! If anything, More than a stand for 'unnecessary consumerism' this is clever marketing from a smart company. REI would like nothing more than for you to get outdoors, realize you need that new under-layer you were thinking about, and that night go to REI.com.

Re: Giveaway: Win a Nikon D810 or Canon 5D Mark III DSLR Worth $3,000

gap

Re: Giveaway: Win a Nikon D810 or Canon 5D Mark III DSLR Worth $3,000

athleta

Re: Giveaway: Win a Nikon D810 or Canon 5D Mark III DSLR Worth $3,000

sony

Re: Giveaway: Win a Nikon D810 or Canon 5D Mark III DSLR Worth $3,000

canon

Re: Giveaway: Win a Nikon D810 or Canon 5D Mark III DSLR Worth $3,000

nikon

Re: One of my many fan messages…

People who call themselves Christian co-opted the pagan celebrations.
