Anyone who has experience with injuries, combat or hunting, and saw the video, knows that Charlie was either instantly killed, or dead within seconds, 30 at the most. It was clear he would not survive barring a genuine miracle from God. Physically, it was blessing that he would not have had time to suffer.

Here's one thing no one is saying: when YOU see a cop, your first thought is 'am I doing something wrong', stop, and see if the cop is there because of you for some reason. This 'child' was wielding a knife, threatening to kill people and an approaching cop gave her ZERO pause. That is the level of respect for authority all this 'racism', BLM and liberal privilege is producing. The presence of an armed police officer didn't even cause her to hesitate.

That is an incorrect exposition of the verse. If it was meant to convey we are supposed to get swords to defend ourselves, then why would Jesus say two swords are adequate for 12 disciples against the Roman army? What Jesus was saying was 'I know you guys brought two swords, I know everything. If you want to be a ragtag band of zealots, then a couple of swords make the point..." But, by telling Peter to put away his sword, Jesus clearly taught that violence was not the way to engage in KINGDOM business...

Having said that, I come from a military family. I was a combat Drill Sgt. I believe in the 2nd Amendment and self defense. I own guns. I'm trained to use them. I'm first and foremost a Pastor though, and we should not use incorrect interpretations of Scripture to support things it is not teaching.

Dan, I support your right (and mine) to defend ourselves and our family. But you've taken this verse of context to prove that point.
