Wanted you to know that I moved from self-hosted WP back to Blogger over a year ago. In the moving, my feed was lost and I ended up losing three and a half years (1500) of blog posts. I'm still glad I moved back. WP was a pain, although I moved myself there and didn't need anyone holding my hand. But my readers didn't like the comment system, and I didn't like the doling out of the dough, so I did it. So yes, there are those of us who move back to Blogger. Who can manage to attack Google anyway? But they get WP ALL THE TIME! What a pain!

You got some fantastic deals! I'm shopping with you! As for the glass house, a bird vignette with a bird's nest and moss or something might look nice. The printers table is quite unique and therefore precious. I would think any tiny treasures would go great in there.

So evocative and well-written! I wish you would write a book, just because I love to read the way you turn a verse, coin a phase, make words so musical to my ears. I haven't heard of this, but I wrote it down and will Google it, of course. Your writing is truly something I look forward to reading. I haven't known of you long, but I cherish listening in on the conversation...

I just dropped my husband off at the airport. Will be gone three days. Three days I don't have to listen to that damned tv in his living room! Three days of freedom and silence. Isn't that awful? If only I could convince him to get headphones so I don't have to listen. But no, he wants all around sound or some equivalent!

Who I am is an overweight woman 51 year old who just jerks out the top pair of men's athletic shorts off of the shelf in the summer; and jerks out the top pair of men's athletic long pants in our brief winter. I don't give a shit about clothes. To me, clothes don't make the man. And I think I know that for sure by now. Clothes are what cover your body. They don't make you smarter, or to me sexier. They are just cloth. I'm sure there will be lots of folks disagreeing with that analogy.

Your humor, my dear, is elementary (or at least I think that's what was attributed to Holmes...) Never thought of boiling my head, but I'd be next to you at the stove in a heartbeat! First of all, for the most part, I do hate men's feet. So ugly. I'm sorry, but they are... I have one possibly pretty thing about me, and it is my feet. And my husband use to have this thing with my feet (UGH!) But now I'm in blessed, insane menopause, and no one gets to touch a g'damned thing of mine!

I don't know what it is either! My husband is a doctor, albeit a psychiatrist, and I shall ask him when he comes home. He worked an overnight shift last night. I shall get back to you later if I find out anything! Of course, you can't make a diagnosis without seeing something, and that is not his specialty, certainly. I'm sure Google gives you all manner of things. Did you know that doctors and pharmacists routinely use Google to find out things? Seems it is true!

Your mentioning the herbs and their meanings reminds me of my two little memorial gardens I planted in my yard. One for my dog Pepper, the other for my best friend Charlyce. Both died within two months of one another in 2006. I planted things that had meaning, such as rosemary for remembrance, etc., etc. The Victorians placed lots of wonderful meanings to herbs and flowers. (I think it was the Victorians anyway...) And I really would like to bring my spider plant inside. But I'm going to have to figure out a way to keep Bonnie the cat from it. She eats every green thing that enters my house! I love the way you put words together, honey. It is absolutely poetic!

Oh, I love it! Finally I find a blogger as honest about stuff as me! Someone sent me a link to your blog. I'm coming back. And going through your archives! I tell it like it is much of the time, and many folks can't deal with that. Nice to find someone who has a good grip on reality, and not the fluffed version.
