Happy to see you guys respond to our requests for this feature. I have two questions about this:

1. Will blogging be supported across all themes?
2. Will it be easy to associate Google Authorship with the blogging platform?

Thanks!

Re: Lenovo President On Apple: "The Winners Of Today Will Be The Losers Of Tomorrow"

Tablets were around before the iPad, but Microsoft crippled them by not really focusing their R&D on tablets as a form factor in and of themselves, but rather, as a form factor extension to conventional laptops. Since the overwhelmingly dominant OS for non-mobile PCs was (and continues to be) Windows, hardware makers were hamstrung by Microsoft's early failure to advance the tablet form factor.

Although an Apple user and pseudo-fanboy, I actually worked for Peter Hortensius at Lenovo for almost three years. I can safely say that the man is brilliant, driven and more concerned about advancing technology than he is about retiring quickly. He's a technologist, multiple patent-holder and is as far removed from the bean counter mindset as one can possibly be. I was a product manager on the ThinkPad line at Lenovo and while they build many products to fit a variety of budgets and usage scenarios, a lot of thought and engineering goes into the ThinkPad line. They are truly rugged, dependable machines, so much so that NASA used them on multiple space missions.
Peter makes the admission that Apple did a great job of connecting the dots on touch, which is a painful thing for the chief product guy at the world's largest PC company to say. Apple succeeded with touch devices because they approached the touch interface comprehensively and put a lot of thought and engineering into every aspect of the touch experience. They could do so because they dictate the direction of both the hardware and software. Microsoft, Google and Amazon have realized that they need to do the same, which is why you see the Surface, Nexus and Kindle devices respectively in the marketplace today.

Re: CameraMator Offers Wireless Tethered Photography Using Your iPad

I do product photography and just the ability to review images on a larger screen and check for the presence of dust and proper focus would be useful to me.

Re: Private: Five Traits of a Backable Education Entrepreneur

Hi Frank, I found your blog as I was researching VCs and angels that focus on the education sector. I recently quit my job to build an education-related web services company and found your post on the 4 key traits of an education entrepreneur refreshingly honest. Added you to my RSS feed and Twitter list and looking forward to learning more from you.

Re: the real definition of a brand

Detavio, the best definition of brand I've ever read/heard is this one - "a brand is a person's gut feeling about a product, service or organization". I think that it's all-encompassing and truly drives home the point that it is a reaction, it is natural (as opposed to manufactured) and can be influenced, but only over time and with consistent behaviour.
