I just heard about this, Sean. :( Although I'll be sad when I pass by your vacant apartment in FF, I'll be sure to visit you in Twitter, your blog and Fb. I haven't been around FF as much for the same reasons but I have also been cutting back a lot of my social web interactions in general to focus more on life, business, personal projects, etc. I will definitely see you around, Haggis! :)

I heard about this last night too but it still breaks a piece of my heart this morning. I understand being offended from some of the harsh sentiments shared on FF. That particular post did not affect me, but others have and I have taken breaks, slowed down my participation and considered leaving altogether a few times out of disappointment from many in the community. Today, there is one less great person there. :( Glen, I will certainly miss you around FF but I am glad I am connected with you in other networks. :)

I'm so sorry to hear this, girl! That's a tough call. I went full-time for myself a couple years ago but I also have the support of a spouse when work slows. You could always give yourself a set amount of time to give it a trial-run and if it doesn't satisfy your financial needs, start looking for other opportunities. Good luck!

I love Tweetdeck and this is very cool of them but I'm already happy with my Twitter to Facebook integration using the Twitter app in Facebook. Also I do not use Facebook chat, so that part doesn't interest me either. I look forward to seeing the "huge amount more to come!"

At first, I didn't see much of a change. It seems like a lot of hype over nothing but then again, I'm very much a user of Twitter and Friendfeed, so to me it's not much different.

Shey pointed out that the entries on the news feed are too much the same size. I agree. I prefer to see distinction between posts, updates and crappy application notices so that my eye goes to what I prefer to see.

For me, they have a bit more work to do to make me love Facebook. It's not Twitter and and it's not Friendfeed. Do something that makes it unique and perhaps better! So far, I'm just ok with it. What I would really like to see is a "hide entries" option as opposed to hiding a friend. I don't want to hide all of their information, I usually only want to hide some of their entries.

Edited to add: Oh and I totally didn't even notice that the notifications are gone now. Yay! I guess that shows how much I missed them. lol!
