I have a lot more to lose than you (granted, I'm not stopping after the defined period (which is not 52 weeks…jeez, scoot). But I'm switching over to tea (which I always have unsweetened or sweetened with stevia) and of course water. Had my last Dr Pepper (well, at least last in a while) last night at dinner. I'm not going as hard-core, but for me it should be a huge difference. Hell, going on walks is going to help a lot. Especially with my Joe Montana Moon Boots.

And looks like 2020 will be the year of the vaporware ms product… I'll agree that it's an interesting concept, and I'd love to see someone effectively (and minimally) pull it off, but these are just that: concept renderings. It takes a LOT to go from conceptual overview to polished deliverable.

It'll be interesting to check back in on this project's status "later this year."

Let's just say I only know about half of the actual details of all my hospital procedures. My fiancée covered all the real nasty details, and I'd only focus on the big stuff where I actually had to make a decision. I still have very little clue on how the filter in the veins actually works. For a while, I'd actually ask her to leave the room when on the phone, explaining what my last procedure was, in way too specific detail.

And I nearly passed out in a jr high health class because the teacher said "blood" about 400 times, and I wasn't as good at controlling my worry complex. ;-)

I've had so many shots and blood draws in the past month or so (brain surgery, blood clots, etc), you'd think I wouldn't empathise, but I will say this... when I was 19, I passed out about a minute after having had a finger-prick blood sample during a physical. Entirely because I starting thinking about what they had just done as I stared at the cotton ball.

It laid me out for about 30 minutes. I kid not.

Granted, I bought Octopus Project on that premise, only to get 128kbps mp3s on download. Promptly went to the sharing services to find better quality.

Actually, it's not. This one has a hard drive in it (a whopping few megabytes!) and is about a year or two younger than Ralph's old one. So yes, I have two... Ralph's doesn't technically work (needs some disks I don't have), but it's older, in better shape, and means more to me. Heh.
