She obviously needs to feel companionship... who wouldn't. While watching this episode I kept waiting for Cody to at least give her a hug or something, to show he at least gave a damn. Nothing. He just sat there and stared at her. She doesn't need to run off on her own, she needs a husband who gives a damn about her.

Re: Concerned About Accessibility in Your District?

I love the facebook cover photos... using on my page! I think it is incredibly important for bullying to be prevented everywhere- especially in places of work and learning! There is a great book about hatred/bullying that I think everyone needs to read (bully/those being bullied). The book is titled, "Creating Hate: How It Is Done, How To Destroy It: A Practical Handbooks" by Nancy Omeara. It is a must read!
http://www.authornancyomear...

Re: #041: How to React When Your Children Talk Back (Podcast)

Thanks Mark... I love the ideas you give here, this will also help me in strengthening my relationship with them by turning a negative situation into a positive one... thank you!

Re: Empty Nest

I completely understand what you are going through. It is not fun sometimes watching your children grow up and leave. It is exciting to see them do nice things with their lives, but you always miss them. I wanted to suggest to you a great book written by Christian author, Johann Christoph Arnold titled, "Rich in Years" http://www.richinyears.com. He has a lot of great advice for empty nesters. It is nice to get advice from someone who is on the same journey and talks candidly about his own struggles with this next phase of life!

Re: 7 Romance Novels with Super Awkward Animals On The Cover

I love books that have animals in them. Maybe it is only because I am an animal lover, but I feel that animals always brighten up a story. I just read a fun romance, "A Thousand Years of Johnny Von" by Edith M. Cortese. It's about a girl who lives in Hollywood who walks dogs for a living. While out and about she stumbles across a movie star who she falls head over heals for. I loved the great historical romances that enter-twined with the main character's present situation, but especially fell in love with the main character's relationship with one very sweet chocolate Labrador. http://www.trumpetboypress....

Re: Four More Romance Novels You Should’ve Read YESTERDAY

@Lance, thanks! This reminds me of a book that I recently read, "A Thousand Years of Johnny Von" by Edith M. Cortese. It's not your typical romantic comedy. It's has plenty of romance, but the main character in the book ends up single and content! I loved how realistic it was because that is how life is. http://www.trumpetboypress....

Re: Top 10 Inspirational Books – May 2013

Great list! Can't wait to check a few of them out! This list makes me think about one of my favorite authors, Susan Spira, author of three inspirational books, "Happy Shorts", "The Happy Tips Book", and "One-Liners For Life." Her books promote personal growth through humor and inspiration! In her latest book, "One-Liners For Life," I learned that people tend to overlook the obvious in life and need to be reminded of what’s important. To me it was my family and friends. Changed my life!

http://susanspira.com/

Re: Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop: Maya Angelou Releases 7th Memoir

I haven't heard about her memoirs, but am definitely going to check them out. in fact, I just finished reading a great one last night "Ring EXchange - Adventures of a Multiple Marrier" by Pam Evans- A book about self-discovery and a reflection of past choice to learn life lessons from. I haven't yet decided what my passion project is- I do know that I am a very creative person and I want to do something with that. Up until recently, after reading a very inspirational book titled, "Stop Playing Safe: Rethink Risk. Unlock the Power of Courage. Achieve Outstanding Success," by Margie Warrell, the thought of making changes in my life hadn't even entered my mind. I am now learning how to better define my sense of purpose and am pursuing more inspiring goals. I am getting closer to change!

http://margiewarrell.com/

Re: So, What’s Stopping You?

Thanks Jim. I agree. I am learning that stepping out of my comfort zone also has positive results for me too. I am getting better at it. Thanks again for your great post! My problem, just like you have stated, is that I have problems executing the ideas (mainly out of fear) and someone always beats me to the punch. I just finished reading a book titled, "Stop Playing Safe: Rethink Risk. Unlock the Power of Courage. Achieve Outstanding Success," by Margie Warrell that has taught me how to step out of my comfort zone a little. It has taught me to embrace a ‘Courage Mindset’ to speak up with confidence in every situation.

http://margiewarrell.com/

Re: List-O-Rama: 6 Upcoming Grown Up Novels

I am patiently waiting for a really great book to come out in March, "Stelladaur: Finding Tir Na Nog" by S. I too had a love of books and still today take any minute that I have to delve into a good book. Tonight I finished up a fictional spiritual novel, "Quest for the Lost Name" by George Makris. Maybe it is a mix of the great Christmas break, or the fact that story is just so fascinating, but I will always remember this book. So good.

http://questforthelostname....

Re: Lead with Influence not Power

Great post, I couldn't agree more. I have found that one important step in my personal growth goal, is to take more time out for myself. Reading has become my latest passion and I try to especially find good books that will help enlighten my life- for example my latest favorite "Quest for the Lost Name" by George Makris. Entertaining, yet spiritual. I have found that by NOT stretching myself too thin, I am able to accomplish more and am able to complete more of my goals.

http://questforthelostname....

Re: Contest: Win a copy of The Art of Assassin's Creed III!

I just finished Carlton Davis' latest book titled, "The Art Dockuments" - a wonderful book full of fun short stories about the history of LA's Art Dock, and get to peek inside the lives of 33 artists- always living on he edge. I now have a huge appreciation for what goes in to make such beautiful art! I have to say that these are really beautiful. Being the art and history fanatic that I am, I would love to win a copy of this! Plus, I have a 12 year old son who spends hours trying to master such beautiful images of beautiful historical art (always drawing knights) and I have to say he is getting pretty good. This book would be something that he would be completely thrilled to have as well.http://artdock.net/

Re: A Notorious Countess Confesses by Julie Anne Long

I love when you find a great book, so great that it makes you want to stay up late to read it because you can't just put me down.
